Gerry Marsden RIP

Eternally remembered for You'll Never Walk Alone which will always be sung at every Liverpool Home Matches come what may. To have one memorable song is a huge achievement but to add a second iconic song Ferry Across the Mersey is just immense and its re-release and association with the Hillsborough tragedy mark it as a very special song . People always believed he lived in the shadow of the Beatles which he clearly did to an extent however there is nothing to detract from him being a huge star in the 60's . A very sad loss.
