What happened to the vehicles used in the series such as Entwistles truck'Edies car and Wesleys land rover they should have been put in a museum along with other famous tv cars. Were they scrapped or sold off'Does anyone know :)

No idea, but I'd love to know, too. Can you imagine going for a ride in Wesleys jeep? Standing in the back! Brilliant idea.

Yeah i know the vehicles from Only Fools and horses are on display somwhere they should do the same with these so people could have their pic taken with them and as you say have a little ride too. :D

Well I do know they were supplied by a company in Lancashire (I think) and each year they dug them out for the show, maybe by now they have been sold off or some scrapped

well edies car was available on a popular car website a couple of years ago, dont know if it was sold or anything but i remember it was on there.

Wally's combination was for a long time exhibited in a museum in Haworth, now gone. It was behind the Railway Station and had been, i think, a cinema.

Some of the older vehicles belong to enthusiasts who specialise in loaning them out.

However Wesley's Land Rovers changed every so often so I suspect that they used whatever was available.

Did note that at times Wesley's Land Rover had a "Q" registration indicating non-standrd construction/Special.

Car I really liked was the 1970 era Ford Cortina GXL in "All That Glitters Is Not Elvis". Mainly because I had one myself back then. I hoped most of the damage in the collision with PCs Cooper and Walsh was faked.

Was it in the 3 Men and a Mangle episode that we see that gorgeous
little MG Midget with Eli in it?? (We have a 72)

They were great cars Unc my Grandad had a purple one but sold it and bought a clapped out Hillman Avenger for some reason. :)

This is a great topic. I certainly don't know about this one, but if I had the money I would remodel a pick up to be like Entwhistle's. I would include "Enwhistle Electrical, Ancient Chinese Medicine", etc. I would love to do it here in the States where only a few people would get it!

You can get a model of Edies car from Oxford Models ,I have one on my model railway driving up to Wesleys garage complete with the ladies on board.

Model cars of Summer Wine vehicles! Wow, there is idea that would be a great collectible for a group of devoted vans!

Where did you get the ladies from? Presumably you managed to use some existing 1/43rd figures. I have Edie's car from Oxford Models too with Edie.

Thanks for sharing Terry. I believe 7 1/2 pounds is similar to something like 11 US Dollars, which sounds very reasonable. Although I am not one to collect. If I had more money and more space then I would have a great time with this. I love the thought of there being an Edie figurine out there!
