Whilst watching "Crums" for the 728th time [no...seriously !!!!] I realised [for the 728th time !!!!] that the most popular comedy sketch EVER [Del Boy...with Trigger...in the wine bar..."playing it all cool"....and falling through the bar hatch] was a COPY of our Eli falling through the bar hatch......12 MONTHS EARLIER !!!!!!....remember....he enters the bar...falling over everyone in there and orders " A SMALL HALF.....AND NOT TOO MUCH FROTH !!!"
"Crums" was aired on 24th December 1988.....and "yuppy love [O.F.A.H.] was aired in January 1989 !!!!...
You see...our Roy was SO FA ahead of his time !!!!.
John Sullivan was a genius scriptwriter....but Roy Clarke was a GENIUS SCRIPTWRITER !!!!!.

Moody, further to that, you know the scene in OFAH where Trigger gets a medal for having his brush for 20 years or more and then he said something like "it's had 6 new heads and 5 new handles" etc, that joke was done by Arkwright in the original Open All Hours.

Think plagiarism is quite common in Comedy especially Stand up and has been for years , very much like it is in music when artists use riffs that have appeared in other songs .
