Dogs are so observant

I was out driving yesterday on a busy urban road and passed an elderly gentleman taking his dog for a walk. The dog in question was a Greyhound and the man was attempting to cross said busy road and I could see the dog was keep looking back at his Master and in my mind the dog was turning to his master and saying " well its no problem for me to cross I would breeze it, but you old son haven't got a chance!!"

Well a couple of things crossed my mind firstly check the local news to hopefully find there hadn't been an accident on that road where an elderly man had been knocked down [thankfully there was no such report] and secondly why would an elderly gentleman select a greyhound as his pet dog because if it ran off he'd have no bloody chance of catching it :)
