Who is probably most well known as BILLY HARDCASTLE in LAST OF THE SUMMER WINE.
He won a Sony Radio Award in 1993 for his portrayal of the Lancashire comedian Frank Randle
in the radio play Randle's Scandals.
I saw this show twice back in the 1980's BRILLIANT
Frank even had his own page in the RADIO FUN comic back in 1947.
He appeared in a few films in the 1940's.
One with Diana Dors, who I believe he took into the Boars Head Pub one evening.
