I've had a call today to say the gate has finally been installed on the land which will allow access. Next job on my list is to tidy it up a bit as it's extremely overgrown, then hopefully the bench. I plan to sort a combination lock when I can next get up there, but in the meantime there is no lock if anyone fancies a nose around and can navigate the jungle there. I'll caveat that by saying you do so at your own risk so be very careful as the ground is quite uneven!

Perfect, I will be able to get my large van close to the gate as I now have 3 mattresses to get rid of

That hits too close to home : ) Best laugh I've had for awhile.

Mattresses may be needed to buffer trio stunts and mishaps.

Although I was filming there at the weekend, I decided not to embarrass Barry by filming his plot, as it does look neglected, and didn't want that saving for near perpetuity on video!

Letting it growing wild is all the rage at the moment according to Monty Don!!!

I'll be getting up there to tackle it in November I think, that said I don't think it'll be permanent solution. Perhaps I should get it all tarmacked!

There must be more than one by now. Tom's associate Mrs Avery picked up the fact the billy goat he bought was in fact pregnant.

You are correct Adrian , the goat's sibling was born and grew to be a fine Billy but it chose another profession rather than follow his mother and is now an accountant living in Upperthong . It decided that the stage and TV was not for him and had no desire to Act the Goat!

Well, that's a really good quality gate you had there Barry, there was just enough room after we dumped the dozen or so mattress, to get it in the wagon.
