I was about to answer Foggy was very pleased to find a spot for a flag and flagpole - wrong episode.

Now, if Foggy just had a Bren gun he could have controlled the entire hill from that Glory Hole. Thinking about Foggy saying something like that made me think of young Foggy from First / Summer Wine too, and how well cast they both were for the role of the character.
