I happened to catch an interview with Elizabeth McGovern (Downton Abby) who stated that Julian Fellows wrote all of the episodes of DA which was really unique as she DID NOT know of another show which was entirely written by a single writer. Hello!!!

That's interesting. I guess what she should have said was that it very rare for a drama to have the same writer for every episode.
