He was the voice of the Hovis bread advert [ sure Nora would have made sure he had " Kreel Butta fu Tea" none of this margarine rubbish for her] and loved him as Stan in Nearest and Dearest with the great Hilda Baker and Jimmy Jewel [here's a still of Jimmy with Joe]

I wouldn't mind marrying someone like Wally! The only downside would be if I needed him to reach something which was high up! 
so would many of them!!!!
