My "informational rant" wasn't in response to your post but to Adanor;s comment "Many pilots are only trained to fly an airplane under normal conditions with the assistance of the computer. If anything out of the ordinary happens, they're clueless. Not too many military pilots who know how to fly by the seat of their pants are around."
I am not having a "go" at Adanor (Don't hit me please......
) as I am aware it is a quote from someone else, however I have met a lot of people who actually seem to BELIEVE that Krap that I felt it my duty (for duty read HOBBYHORSE) to set the record straight. Having got it out of my system, normal service can now be resumed
As for Mz Cheetham, I am not worried, I will just set the wife on her! (Think Nora without her laughter & sense of humour!
