So the BBC really know how to save money

It's the on screen "talent" who probably command the biggest fees as well as all of the management behind the scenes when they disclosed the salaries of the "talent" there was an outcry yet the biggest earner or at least one of the top earners Graham Norton continues to reel in the lolly at an alarming rate for what .

I had the misfortune to catch the final embers of his show the other night where he was having an astonishingly intellectual conversation with Liam Gallagher -NOT . They could save money by rerunning Parky's shows[ if they still own the rights and have not wiped the tapes] when stars were genuinely A listers and had something of note and interest to say . Given it has a 22.30 start on Friday evening when a high percentage of the population are socialising why pay through the nose for such inferior talent .

There's a show called W1A and it is supposed be about the inner workings of the BBC. They speak faster than I can listen so I can only watch it for 10 minutes at a time. Is this how the BBC really works? How new shows are cooked up?

As for crew members, were ALL of the crew members listed in the credits in the older shows? Perhaps there were many uncredited crew members in the older shows.

W1A is a spoof show about the BBC basically over embellishing all of the foibles and idiosyncrasies of the BBC and how they make programmes with high satirical content so some of the content is pointed and supposed to represent how the BBC works

Thanks. I've been so distracted by their rapid fire delivery that I'm almost unable to follow the plot.

Interesting point but I recall seeing crew and cast photographs of SW and I suspect that the total number of people would not be more than about 40. Given thst there were 10 or more cast plus stand ins (at least three or four) then I suspect that there has been a job creation programme somewhere.

Sorry Chuck cannot see anyway of getting it to you BBC download isn't a true download basically extends ability to view to a predetermined expiry date the files download but you cannot copy and open using another application [as you imagine Auntie is very protective of its programmes ] . There is a conversion software programme I found but then you see comments that "it didn't work for me " so decided not to pursue.
