R.i.p stephen lewis

A sad loss of a man that brought us so much pleasure, I met him several times and he was always good fun and down to earth, RIP
 
A sad loss not often someone plays two memorable roles but he did with Blakey and Smiler he is in esteemed company . I have already stated this on other threads but its worth reiterating sadly these people who give us such pleasure disappear off the radar and the next we hear about them is so sadly when they pass away . One of the articles states he was in a nursing home which does I suppose explain why we never heard any more about Mr Lewis since he left LOTSW . At least his work will be sen for many years to come .
 
Yes you are so right, these wonderful actors will remain in our hearts and make us laugh for many years thanks to tapes dvd's etc.

Very sad news. I will remember him best for On the Buses.

There seems to some debate about his age - some sources showed him being ten years younger.

So many greats gone now...
