Off to Yorkshire next week

Myself, Martyn and another couple are off to Yorkshire next week for a canal boat holiday.

We are on the Apperley Bridge to Barnoldswick stretch. Not sure which end we start from, and we only go one way, so fresh views every day.

As my Geography is non existent where are we in relation to Holmfirth.

We are so looking forward to it, as Martyn works very hard, and I forgot to share the news that he has been given the all clear from cancer. For the next six months anyway. So a celebratory drinkie poohs on board me thinks.

If you start at Apperley Bridge you will be around 23 miles from Holmfirth and from starting there you will be moving away, not by far maybe another 10 miles or so when you reach the other end,Great News about Martyn, enjoy your drinks

Minxie when you are on your boat if you stop in the Keighley area and have time during the day,you could always take a ride on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, website here with timetable http://www.kwvr.co.uk/

You will then travel the route they used in "Full Steam Behind"
