Normal TV antenna by chimney. Motion sensor (looks like) light above black door.

Silly responses - shrubbery probably replaced. The person taking the photo! Sorry, in one of those moods. :fp:

Out of curiosity, what is the round thing to the left of the black door? Also, the other thing on the wall to the left of the door above the diagonal drain pipe?

The thing near the pipe is an air vent, usually associated with central heating. The thing near the door is the house number plate, with it being a PVC door you cant't drill holes in them so you have your number on a plate next to it.

I think the telephone wires would of been there, but not so many, also hard to see in this low res image is the plastic clips fixing the cables running up the telephone pole, lastly the plastic waste water pipes and downpipes

If the window frames were obviously plastic then they would have been timber but the style of windows is possible in 1948. One thing I think would be unlikely is the oval door number in brass. A lot of smaller houses had a black painted oval on the door or gate post with the number painted on in white. The plastic guttering would have all been metal and more likely to have been chunkier but otherwise a lot of it would have been remarkably similar.

One other thing though is that the stonework would have been blacker as there would have been many more coal fires in use and it is only in the last 20 years or so that the stone has become cleaner.
