Most annoying modern day gadgets. Tv show. anything really

Years ago when we shifted from valves (if any remember these fragile diodes, triodes et al in our wireless) to transistors suddenly we did not have to wait for the signal, pressed play - it played virtually instantaneously.

Now with the digital age it has to think it through, connect itself and get going - can take ages it seems. Gone backwards!
