Liz Fraser

Oh no!! One of the pinup girls from the Carry on Film era has so sadly passed away . Liz had such a varied career and appeared in many iconic British Comedy Films such as the Bulldog Breed with Sir Norman Wisdom , the Rebel with Tony Hancock [and also the infamous Hancock's Half Hour]and Pikey's Mum in the Dad's Army first Movie . Some of the films were a bit risque and probably best forgotten but her versatility as a comedy actress was there to be seen by all , making her one of the shining lights of the British Comedic Actress fraternity. A very sad loss.

Interesting - what a party this would be !!!!!!!!!!!
"She was due to take part in a Carry On-themed cruise in the Mediterranean at the end of this month to mark the 60th anniversary of the series. "

In the UK on every Holiday here the channel ITV 3 show all the Carry on Films, that is fine but they have done this for many years, they must close the doors and switch on the Carry On tape on their way out and it gets turned off when they come back after the holiday

That is sad to hear. I also liked her as Compo's Thursday girl and seeing her ride into town on a tractor was a great touch.
She could have made a nice returning character occasionally as the series played on.
