Was there ever any thing said about "The Crowcroft Challenge" being linked to Crowcroft in the earlier "Has Anyone Seen a Peruvian Wart?" or did Roy Clarke run out of surnames?
 
First time of noticing - in "Hermione (the short course)" - the recently deceased Tony Capstick's character, 2nd policeman, is mentioned as having been transferred to Huddersfield in conversation by the replacement, Louis Emerick, to the Ken Kitson 1st PC character.
 
pity Tony's PC wasn't given a surname. Fact,Tony and Russ Abbot were the only LOTSW cast members to record hit singles
