Gracie or W.C?

This one got me thinking (always a bad idea) I would assume that given the vast number of years some of our members have been on Earth (I include myself in that), the British contingent would get this reference.
I am curious however as to how many of the non-British crowd, particularly U.S. members got it WITHOUT having to resort to Google?
 
Sure Pearl will have recognised it , the Pearl from the show definitely would not wish to be WC's[ William Compo [Simonite's ] "Little Chickadee" . The big question can our Pearl sing like Gracie and if so would she sing in public [perhaps at the 50th Bash] or only in the Shower/WC :fp::08::tw:
