Flying Scotsman in Cheshire.

Majestic . I took a friend and his Mum [both sadly departed] for her 80th hto North Yorkshire Moors Railway and paid for them to have a meal on the Pulman service . With no immediate arrangements for food myself I cheekily asked the driver of one of the Steam trains that pulled in if he had any breakfast cooked on the boiler's coal shovel left or could he rustle me up a quick bacon on eggs while he was waiting to pull out . Sadly ,of course, he had none but did admit that it was the greatest reward for volunteering to work on the Railway far better than any remuneration . As I write this now I can almost taste it .
