Dudley Sutton

Didn't watch Lovejoy a lot but remember him from the wonderful Biederbecke Affair and Reg in the Desperate Hours Porridge episode. He was a stalwart of British series and Films and had a very diverse career acting from 1958 up to this year which is a magnificent achievement . A very sad loss .

Didnt knowo him by name, but googled and recognized his face straight away from many shows over the eons....

Dudley... great ol school name :) ::) :)

I am just going through all the Lovejoy episodes on i-player from the beginning. (a bit ironic that)
Thought Tinker was a great character. RIP Dudley.
Does anyone remember his appearance in Porridge?

I do HJ he was Reg Unwin in the Desperate Hours who holds Fletch, Godber, Barraclough and Mrs Jamieson hostage. Whilst humour abounds there is some pathos regarding Reg's position and why he was driven to holding hostages , atypical of the wonderful writing from Clement and LeFrenais.

Sad news, i loved watching Lovejoy at the time and can now catch up with it daily on Drama.

Brilliant actor, I loved him everything he was in, I had one of those faces you could get along with. Very sad news.
