Clem pining for his prolapse.

I never got used to mine, and I am still not over getting rid of it, amazing back then they kept you in hospital for some time, these days you go home an hour after surgery
Nor did I get used to mine.

Back in the day, they let new mothers stay in hospital and rest for a week before sending them back to the challenges of motherhood and homemaking. When my sister was born, in 1950, I was the only female in the household while my mother was in hospital, and I expected to prepare the meals for my father and grandfather. I was only nine years old, and although I knew how to prepare each component of several meals, I had no idea how to control the timing so everything was ready at once.
