Another one which makes me feel more like Victor Meldrew - I just do not believe it!
A loan company was offering money secured against your car - at an APR of 493.94% which I thought astronomical until I then saw another loan company whose small print state an APR of 1971%!!
And to think I always thought store cards at about 30% APR were expensive compared to credit cards at about 13%. I used to have store a card (Army & Navy) but always made sure I paid it off in full each month as it was about 26.5% APR.
Makes my swapping from 13.8% to 12.9% (which I once did years ago) seem almost trivial in retrospect!
