Somewhat in parallel with the "which guest actors?" thread, guest appearances by actresses were few and far between. Shirley Ann Field in "Eva's back in town" always comes to mind ( ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D) and there was Maggie Ollerenshaw, June Whitfield in "Potts in Pole Position". Should there have been more? Who?
 
It could have been interesting to have MRS BUCKET (Patricia Routledge) introduced as a visiting cousin of EDIE. They could have raised a few laughs trying to upstage each other :D
 
one of my favourite ladies was already in it, Valerie Leon the 70's model and carry on / Bond actress. yootha joyce ( mildred ) would of been nice had she been alive!
 
I agree with Pat Coombs and Peggy Mount and Irene Handle.

Irene would be perfect working in the Cafe.

Pat as Cleggy's neighbour

Hylda Baker as a replacement for Nora Batty

Another similar actress to the above is Patricia Hayes.
