    Cigerettes

Many moons ago I worked in a tobacconist (is there such a thing now since supermarkets) we would split a packet and sell five at a time. One old chap would put his 'woodbines' into a 'Senior Service' packet!!

    Joe Gladwin ad.

More than annoying, Susan. Half the time I have no idea what it being advertised.

    Anyone Seen this Book

I think I may have it. When we were still travelling up every year we used to visit the tourist information shop. They usually had any new books that were out. I will look in my cupboard.

    Bench overlooking valley in "Serenade"

Re: Bench overlooking valley in "Serenade" Don't forget that benches, letter boxes, phone boxes and bus stops were often just 'props' to be picked up and put down at will.

    Miss Jones

Our library hosts a toddlers group once a week. My husband was waiting for me to choose a book, and learned a new verse to a song while he waited!

    Toys ( Reprise)

Am I right in thinking that Gene Autry once recorded The Christmas Favourite, 'Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer'. ???

New Board to Alert Members about TV Shows

Miranda Hart is very well respected as an actress in the UK. She is recorded as copying her 'talking straight to the camera technique' from our beloved Eric Morecambe. A very funny lady, who can act a serious part as well.

Who else could have kept the jokes coming for so many episodes. I know he repeated some of the situations...

    In the water

Lots of instances of the ladies getting wet then, especially Marina. She is living up to her name.

    I forgot that one.

    Vicar of Dibley

I don't watch any of the reality programs. I do watch a couple of the soaps though. I think this classifies me as being thought of as 'Brain Dead', but at 73, who really cares.

    Vicar of Dibley

I am watching 'Tenko' at the moment. This is a series about women prisoners in Japan. I read it up (as you do) and found that the powers that be wanted to axe this show after the second series because it was to focussed on women!!! There was a third series and then a reunion show as well. We...

    Bill and Tom

A couple of years ago we went to visit my old relatives in Jarrow. We had a nice time chatting with them all and when it was time to leave I hugged all of the aunts and uncles. When I spoke to my aunt Betty next she asked 'when did we get to be so 'kissy'. I realised that she was right, it is...

    In the water

I am trying to remember if any of 'the ladies' ever got wet. I can't think of any instances.
